NARAL: BASIC STOCK FOOTAGE AND CLIENT ARCHIVAL

$12-20K: This film was constructed from stock footage and some client owned footage. We’ll first need to script the piece and construct a brand message. Then there is a fee for the usage for decent stock, obviously, but the main costs come from the creative time spent sourcing and compiling it. There’s also a professional voiceover artist, and basic graphics to cover.

UNITED WE STAND: EXTENDED STOCK FOOTAGE ANTHEM

$20-40K: The United We Stand campaign for the White House included a main anthem. This is a longer “stock” film used more expensive footage, music, a “name” voiceover artist, and other upgrades. It’s hard to cost this separately because it’s part of a more expensive package during which we captured the “Uniters” vignettes, which you will see below.

ACTIVISM REEL: FULL SHOOT

$30K +: It’s obviously best to create your own content, with a crew shooting your subjects in high quality and getting plenty of b-roll to drive the story. Kontent’s origins are documentary, so we are used to gathering information fast and fluidly. We use small and mobile crews but nevertheless, getting out a crew with equipment is a more expensive option. Obviously, a cost is dependent on multiple factors – how many days, where and what needs to be captured. Again, the magic is in the edit!

UNITED WE STAND: ZOOM TESTIMONIAL VIGNETTES

$20-40K: The United We Stand campaign for the White House included voices from “Uniters” across the country. For these vignettes, we conducted a lot of research, scripted out questions, and recorded our Zoom interviews with these wonderful folk, but their conversations needed extensive editing so that we could capture the key phrases and assemble a coherent message from their diverse voices.
