Redford Center Film to Examine the Future of the Colorado River

Eric Won a SFFS/KRF Grant!

A big congratulations to Kontent Films Director Eric Escobar! Yesterday, the San Francisco Film Society and the Kenneth Rainin Foundation announced him as one of the five recipients awarded a Fall 2011 SFFS/KRF Filmmaking Grant. All five narrative feature films have Bay Area connections and social justice themes. Here’s a summary of Eric’s project.

Eric Escobar: One Good Thing, $15,000 for screenwriting
A jaded and bitter locksmith spends his days locking families out of their foreclosed homes. When a morning lockout turns up the abandoned child of a long-lost friend, his cynicism is put in check as he races to find the missing parents.
